HSBC APPOINTS NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER IN MAURITIUS

Bonnie Qiu has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, Mauritius, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC), effective [immediately].

Matthew Lobner, Head of International and Head of Strategy & Planning, Asia-Pacific, HSBC, said:

Bonnie Qiu said:

Bonnie joins HSBC in Mauritius from Hong Kong, where she was Global Head of Premier and Jade within HSBC’s Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) business and led the establishment of the Bank’s Jade proposition into a differentiated wealth and lifestyle proposition for high net worth clients.

Prior to this, she led HSBC’s WPB businesses in mainland China and Taiwan. Bonnie has been with HSBC since 2002.

After serving in Mauritius since April 2016, Chris Murray, the former Chief Executive Officer, HSBC Mauritius, will be retiring.
